Assignment is not acceptance
A name on a task only means someone was asked. Ownership becomes real when they tap I’ll do it.
Closed loops
Everyone can see whether a task is waiting, accepted, completed, declined, cancelled, or reopened.
A deliberate Ping
Ask for attention explicitly without turning every notification into an emergency. Pings respect cooldowns and quiet hours.
First-class handoff
When plans change, transfer ownership with history intact instead of letting the task quietly stall.
Anyone can claim it
Leave flexible work open to a Space and let the first eligible member claim it atomically.
Private by default
Spaces are invite-only, there is no public feed, and PingDo has no ads or cross-app tracking.
How PingDo closes the loop
A lightweight flow makes the difference between asking someone and knowing the responsibility is handled.
Capture the responsibility
Create the everyday task inside a private Space such as Home, Us, or Apartment.
Ask someone clearly
Assign a person, leave it open for Anyone, or keep it for yourself. Assigned means asked — not yet owned.
Get an explicit response
The recipient chooses I’ll do it, Later, or Can’t. Acceptance creates an accountable owner instead of an assumption.
Complete or hand off
The owner finishes the task or hands it to someone else if plans change, preserving the coordination history.
See the loop close
Everyone in the Space sees the state update in realtime, so nobody needs to ask again.
